1. DUNGEON: THE STORM AROUND AVISLE CITY
Honey, there's a storm brewing.
… Actually, it's already brewed! Adventurers who arrive in the ON world this month will notice a vicious storm of thunder, lighting and hail roaring across Avisle City and its surrounding area. And while they're free to go "nope", and opt to keep to safer locations, they'll find that it's very easy to misstep and end up lost in the storm…
Task: Navigate to Avisle City and put a stop to the storm.
Reward: ?̷̡̱̠̺̭̪̯͋̆̒ͅ?̷͈͈̹͇͆̐̈͌̀?̷̨͇̤̲̱̭̙͙̣͒̒̓̏̂͒̓̂̕

Chamber 1: blow your house down
Better hold onto your hats, the storm whipping around the city is brutal and deadly, and it's easy to get blown off your feet and sent hurtling through the air into the first solid object in your trajectory—hopefully another soft, squishy person.
Hapless Adventurers aren't the only ones whipping through the air either. From the city, miscellaneous pieces of property rain down from the sky—doors, flower pots, clothes to name a few. From the Windhaven Woodlands however, small Hummingshrews and Bloobettes will find themselves displaced in the storm. Terrified and unused to being airborne, Adventurers might find themselves being stabbed by the tiny beak of a Hummingshrew or pulled into the gelatinous bodies of a Bloobette.
While you fight your way through the chaotic wind and the rain toward Avisle City, eventually, a loud C R A C K will resound through the air, and that's all the warning you'll get before huge windmill blades will start to hurtle toward you. Better get good at dodging!
Chamber 2: the water is mischievous
Whoever manages to dodge all of the windmill blades will find that once they're lodged in the ground, they actually make decent shields against the howling wind, and by ducking behind them as much as possible, it's possible to make it through the storm to the city.
However, the closer to the city you get, the higher the water underfoot becomes until it reaches nearly your waist. And sometimes… the water seems alive. It swirls around your body, urging you to drink as if the water were the most appealing of wines. The temptation will feel unusually strong, almost hypnotic in its call.
Anyone who drinks the water will start to notice their limbs transform into water. While looking like water, they will remain solid for the first few minutes, and the effect can be counterattacked by squeezing the affected limb like wringing water from a towel. Failure to squeeze out the water will result in the body part being washed away.
Chamber 3: a long boy
Upon finally staggering to Avisle City, Adventurers will at last come face to face with the source of the destruction: a massive serpentine dragon coiled in the clouds above the city. It seems ignorant of the plight and panic ravaging the city, but if any of the brave (and clever) among you manage to launch an attack to where it's stationed in the sky, a deep rumble of thunder will follow before…
BOSS: Water Dragon
HP: Infinite
Difficulty: ★★★★★
Weakness: Earth, Sun
Resistance: Water
Attacks:
The dragon will not come down for the duration of the fight, making it extremely difficult to launch any counterattacks, and while the fight goes on, the storm continues to ravage the city, pushing the water levels steadily higher.
Ultimately, one of the Avisle leaders will pull you aside. It seems there's going to have to be another way to survive the storm, and violence isn't it.
HP: Infinite
Difficulty: ★★★★★
Weakness: Earth, Sun
Resistance: Water
Attacks:
- Elemental Imbalance: The dragon will send a rainbow cascading down from the clouds and onto you, imbuing you with an element at random. The element will cloak your entire body, forcing you to attack uncontrollably until the element dissipates.
- Bubble Beam: Large bubbles will appear in the field around you, steadily draining you of mana until an ally breaks you out. If you're not freed fast enough, the bubble will drain all your mana, rendering you unconscious.

2. CHOICE: PEACE IS GOING TO HAVE TO BE AN OPTION
Among the chaos and the panic, a few of the guild leaders take you aside. The first one to speak proposes this: this isn't the first time the Dragon has beset Avisle, and ancient texts speak of a ritual that will draw the beast back to sleep's embrace.
One of the others will shake their head, arguing that there's no way to know if any such ritual will work. The priority should be evacuating the city for safer lands, even if it means leaving Avisle City to fall.
And so, it seems you have a choice to make.
Perform the Ritual: In the courtyard of the Guild Hub, people have gathered to seal the dragon away. The ritual itself involves an incantation and an ancient dance, ending with the sacrifice of an important memory as a show of sincerity. No one knows for certain if the ritual will work, but they do know that the more who give, the higher the chances.
Adventurers desperate to ensure the ritual works may also offer up their soul gem, but this will result in them forgetting their identity entirely.
Evacuate the City: Those of little faith may instead choose to evacuate the city. The citizens are injured and wearied by the torrential rain, and the structure of the city continues to break dangerously from the storm. Adventurers can opt to help the citizens gather what they can, find their loved ones, and escape to the highgrounds of the Dandelion Fields.
But beware, those who chose to save Princess Andalina last month will be met with disdain, and the citizens may not be as cooperative with their attempts to help.
Do Nothing: Hey, isn't this all a game? Maybe you choose to just wait out the storm until you're back in your cozy bed in Dodo House.
Players may thread any number of outcomes, but can only report one of their threads here for rewards!
3. DODO DOWNPOUR
In Crane City, April means spring showers—though it seems like it's really coming down lately! The storms are inescapable, so enjoy going to work and getting hit by sheets of rain everyday, and be sure to pack an umbrella. Though sometimes the storms are intense enough to break them, so you might have to share. The weather is a tumult, but not impossible to travel through… yet.And while Dodo House is usually a safe haven, the weather affects it just as badly. Your room may spring a very sad, persistent leak, its windows blown open by harsh wind–maybe you should try staying with a neighbor? The house itself sounds sad as well, creaking and occasionally losing power, leaving its residents in the dark. But it does its best to keep some fireplaces and fresh towels available at all times, and floating candles will (spookily) hang in the air to help light anyone's way.
4. CRANE CITY BLUES
Whether it's at home or on your way to get groceries, sopping wet, the rain might subside just enough to see a rainbow. How pretty! Though the sight of it will stir something in you, even in the OFF world. Namely, it's a surge of those pesky elements. Thought you were free of those in Crane City? This rainbow is apparently here to remind you that you're never safe.
♔ Light & Fire: All this rain is dampening your inner light. Characters will experience a seemingly unshakeable melancholy, one that fluctuates with the weather. Sunny means less depression, stormy means more. Good luck getting out of bed when the rain is really bearing down.
♔ Water & Earth: Everything you touch turns wet, even if you escape inside. This includes clothes, shoes, any surface you come into contact with, and other people (not like that). Try not to catch a cold! It won't be easy. Weather around you seems to get even worse too, as though a storm (or hail, icy rain, etc) cloud is following over your head.
♔ Wind & Dark: Something about the rain just really makes you think dramatically about the past–which might be weird, depending on the choices you've made this month? This nostalgic spell might make you want to share elements of your tragic backstory... to anyone who's willing to listen. Very noir.

The hero who took on the weight of the entire world and the kid who idolized him and had been inclined from the start to do the same thing.
Right or wrong, that utter dedication had gotten One For All this far in every successor. ]
If it was your most important memory, what would it take?
no subject
Both All Might and Izuku try to take on too much. Katsuki himself dreamed of being able to support the entire world, but after his experiences in U.A., after seeing what happened to All Might, what happened to Izuku... he came to realize that one person can't, shouldn't, do everything. For Katsuki, it was his pride that had to break for him to learn that lesson...
For Izuku... well... he keeps struggling with that lesson.
His path isn't wrong at heart. Katsuki told him that much. But he can only get so far alone.]
I'm not sure. There's a number of them.
no subject
Katsuki knows so many of the things that matter to him, albeit from an entirely different and distorted angle. But what if it's something else? ]
It was just before the exam for UA.
no subject
Katsuki's also still hoping it's temporary. Not just because he understands memories make so much of who they are. And Izuku has a ton that have shaped and molded him, things he cherishes.]
When you were walking towards U.A.?
no subject
[ Before he'd started walking, actually. Izuku had no time before the exam to get used to his Quirk, but he hadn't gotten a single villain defeat point anyway. Just like Katsuki hadn't gotten a single rescue point.
The two of them had gotten exactly opposite top scores. ]
I'd finally finished clearing it, and he said I was a true-blue vessel. That there was a big difference between...being born with a silver spoon and working to earn it. He said to take to heart that I'd earned the power, fair and square. And then, he gave me a piece of his hair to eat.
no subject
Of course he'd asked that night how the transfer actually happened. So he doesn't go BLEH at the hair-eating comment, but still pulls a slight face. Cause it's weird each time he hears it... Wipes it off and goes back to serious when Izuku finishes.]
But that's just one of many memories it could pick from. We don't know what it'll take...
no subject
[ So, they should be able to work together just fine regardless of what they forget. ]
...Though, there's one or two things that if we forgot it'd get a bit awkward. [ He's referring to the apology. ]
no subject
I'm not going to have a relationship breakdown just from one memory. Even if I forget the first time I met you, I'll still have the second, the third, and every time after that.
[Katsuki follows Izuku's train of thought, silently agreeing to review memories after the ritual. As for the second comment, the blonde scowls and looks somewhere else. Bingo.]
One's enough.
no subject
[ They'd met young enough Katsuki was just always there in his memories. Izuku remembers the turning points where their relationship had altered, breaking or mending, but the first time he met Katsuki...he'd been so young it's one of those memories blurred by the weight of years, buried alongside faded imagery of when his room was a nursery and his father wasn't yet overseas.
Kacchan was just always there. Their parents watching them in the park, the two of them playing on the beach or in the woods, wandering around in the summer catching stag beetles and comparing the sizes. If asked about his first and earliest memory of Katsuki, Izuku wouldn't be able to pinpoint it with any ease because his entire childhood was filled with the other boy.
He definitely won't forget "Kacchan". And it's true their memories inform later memories...though, if they forget one thing, would it also be removed from later memories? Izuku isn't sure, but regardless, he doesn't think there's any one thing that would totally alter anything. Just that one or two specific memories might put them in a more awkward place, before things were said or done that needed to be.
Even so... ]
I don't know what I'll forget, but...one memory.
no subject
[Babies. While he couldn't specifically remember the first time either, he's always had Izuku in his memories. There's none "before" Izuku was there. Simply had always been a factor in his life. A presence that was resolute, unshakable, comfortable. His nap times had Izuku by his side in the sunlight or the bed or the rug. Sharing meals or snacks, growing up to go beyond the living room and instead play outside in the big open world. Izuku had always been there...
Even after that horrible rift broke them open. All Katsuki's doing. And yet the memories remained. One year after the next, they continued, missing a part of him he dismissed as unimportant, troublesome, and annoying. But there all the same. From childhood to middle school to that one fateful afternoon. From then on, Izuku came back into his life whether Katsuki wanted it or not.
Katsuki remains focused on the limitations of the ritual. Angrily demanding in his mind that this thing had access to ONE memory and that was it. No removing from other memories. It had ONE fucking shot into his head. He wouldn't compromise his morals or principles for the League of Villains. He wouldn't go back on who he is as a person for anyone. And that included some water dragon in the sky demanding an important memory to be sealed up.]
One memory. That's it.
no subject
So he reaches up and removes the black leather thong around his neck, the round emerald pendant hanging from it flickering like there's lightning in the depths...and extends the soul gem on the thong to Katsuki. ]
Just the one. [ Katsuki can hold the rest until they're away from the ritual if it makes him feel any better. ]
no subject
What he's not expecting is for Izuku to present him with the gem. Katsuki blinks at the offering, understanding immediately what it means. Surrendering the choice to him, limiting himself, giving up that freedom to choose... Things Katsuki himself would have a hard time considering, or much less doing.]
Yeah. [He takes hold of the leather, carefully accepting the gem. Knowing of its propensity to hurt Izuku if broken, Katsuki tucks it in his pocket with care.] Come to my room when we finish with this.
no subject
He's limiting himself, but that's something everyone does when working with a team cooperatively...it's something they've both had issues with for totally opposite reasons. ]
Ready?
no subject
Moreso out of not wanting to "hurt" Izuku via pressure on the gem than the whole emotion sharing thing. He can sense Izuku's resolve without the gem just as well, thank you. And yeah, it does bolster his own intent.
They're not doing this alone. The ritual is specifically designed to require multiple people, not multiple memories. Katsuki had to learn how to accept teamwork. So...]
I am. Dunno about everyone else. [How to tell when the ritual's supposed to start and what's it gonna do? Katsuki at least wants to watch the dragon get sealed. Petty revenge.]
no subject
He trusts his friend with his soul. It'll be fine. ]
Let's go, then! [ Plus ultra, he doesn't say, but it's on the tip of his tongue. ]
no subject
Izuku gave him a promise. There's no going back on this from the start. Katsuki doesn't need to give the same promise, having decided already one was enough. But... there's still that visit at the house later. Might not be much, might be a lot, that's for Izuku to find out when this is all said and done.]
Plus Ultra. [It's quiet, but firm. A reminder where they came from. On to the ritual.]
no subject
Izuku thinks this one might lean towards the latter in some respects but he shoots Katsuki a quick grin. A battle-ready grin as they step up to make the sacrifice of one of their memories...each. ]
no subject
Katsuki's expression is the same focused glare he takes before a battle, brows lowered and eyes narrowed, jaws set in that determined intimidation of one approaching the target with pure confidence of assured victory.
One. That's it.]
no subject
Well. Izuku will go to Katsuki's suite, remembering where it is for the month and making a note he's going to have to check in whenever they change around. Maybe someday they'll share the same general suite, but the probability of that is pretty low overall. ]
no subject
Unless it's required... Ugh. He'll go in heels dug the entire time.
Katsuki logs out with a quick yank of his headset and visor, then stalks off towards the Dodo House. Hates that damn name, but it's stuck in his head now. First impressions (names) are hard to forget. Besides, he'd probably end up calling it something stupid like that too. Katsuki opens the door to his room and heads inside.
At least they're not dripping... yet.]
no subject
no subject
Katsuki would've shut it in a drawer, but that's not his call.]
How often is the Off world affected by On world shit?
no subject
Fairly? I mean, this is only my second month here really, but both months stuff onworld and offworld have been a little bit interconnected. It makes me wonder if this isn't just...another level of the game?
no subject
Katsuki moves over to the window, looking out at the rain.]
But we're not gonna see a dragon flying around Crane City.
no subject
Probably not? I can't say for sure we won't but so far...fantasy creatures have stayed in the fantasy location.
